Tuesday is a very productive day at work and after work. It is the first time in one week that I have ridden the motorcycle - thus how could the day not be taken on by an enthusiastic Ray? I'm up early to go walking before work. At work I attend a number of meetings and teleconferences and contribute as best as I can. I also work on a nonlinear simulation that is not going well. After work I get in a good session with the weights, lubricate the garge door hinges, paint a bit more, water the lawn, and relax. Today is an exciting time because "Boston Legal" is back on and I set the tape tp capture it at 10 pm - even though it is a re-run that I have seen before.
On Wednesday I am at work near 6:30 am as I skip the morning walk to make up time. I leave work at 3:30 pm to go visit the doctor and get the results of the blood test from 11 days ago. He shows that my liver enzymes have come down by a factor of 20 from last month and that I'm forming good antibodies. This is good! But he tells me that he wants to see me again in two months. We have a discussion and I realize, after I get his confirmation, that this indicates that I am still carrying the active virus and that I am still contagious to other people. So I go home and lift weights as heavy as I can (in this state) to work off the bad news.
Thursday and Friday are tied up at work with testing that is not going well - at least on Friday. The Thursday tests were nominally back where we wanted to be three weeks ago. But the Friday testing is just nasty with wicked nonlinearities to deal with. When I get home on Friday I lift weights - repeating the workout from Wednesday - and then I grab a quick dinner and do the laundry. I just relax on this evening since I am tired.
Saturday is a fun and productive day. I get out for another strong loop ride on the road bicycle and then watch qualifying for the Belgian Grand Prix from Spa, Belgium. I manage to get three walls of the bedroom painted (the third wall is inaccessible until I get help to move some stuff) rather quickly and then I mow the lawn. A quick shower leads me out the door to pick up the mountain bicycle wheel with repaired spokes and then I head to Northrop Grumman to work on catching up on things. I manage to write a forward/backward Butterworth filter that minimizes amplitude distortion and yields precisely zero phase distortion for use with the nonlinear testing. I filter the nonlinear data and save it where I can work on it at home. And after spending just a couple hours at Northrop Grumman, but getting a couple good things done, I head for home to relax. It has been a good and productive day and I don't know what the remainder of this day holds in store.
Sunday is a reasonable day. I get out for the aquarium ride on the new mountain bicycle hweel, watch the semi-wet Belgian Grand Prix, and paint more of my bedroom. Later I work on filtering data for work. I'm tired today, so I'm in bed before 9 pm.
At 2:30 am I wake up and cannot sleep. So after surfing the Internet for about an hour I get ready to go back to sleep. I happen to look out the living room window to the street and see a person rummaging through my recyclable bin for aluminum cans. I think that I should stop the person and give him/her (I cannot quite tell) the test article that we have been having so much trouble with at work lately. But I let him/her walk down the street to the next recyclable bin. And fall fast asleep.
